First Announcement SafetyNet Conference 2008
Launching the
European
Road Safety Observatory
17th -
18th April 2008 - Rome
The
European Road
Safety Observatory is developed by 'SafetyNet', an integrated research
project endorsed by the DG for Transport and Energy of the European Commission.
The purpose of the
European Road
Safety Observatory is to provide a pan-European platform for the exchange of
road safety data and knowledge and to support road safety policy and decision
making at all levels across the 27
Member
States
and other European Countries.
This Conference will provide the opportunity to showcase the
European Road
Safety Observatory www.erso.eu and the main
results of the SafetyNet project. High level speakers will open the conference
and speakers from the SafetyNet project and the wider road safety community will
present the
European Road
Safety Observatory and its role in reducing road casualties in the EU countries.
The
Conference will be held in the beautiful city of
Rome
in the historical area of the Piazza del Campidoglio.
