Main method
Compatibility improvement of accident data from the new member states, development of statistical outputs based on CARE data, establishment of a common accident data collection set and methodology, estimation of the real number of road accident casualties.
Important subjects
Within the framework of the five Tasks of this WP, national accident data will be elaborated, CARE data will be retrieved and further analyzed, national data collection systems will be examined and relevant framework will be developed. Finally, medical data will also be collected and the underreporting issue will be addressed by developing appropriate correction coefficients.

Two versions of statistical outputs have been produced and the third version is under examination, national accident data definitions and relevant collection methodologies have been collected and analyzed. The needs of several stakeholders for road accident data have been identified and methodology on identification of underreporting level in eight EU countries is finalized. At the same time, execution of national studies on underreporting are under way.
